Website Content Update Acknowledgment Agreement

This Agreement is a legally binding document between the Client and LegitDev. By signing, the Client agrees to all terms and conditions outlined herein.

1. Pre-Booking Quote and Agreement Requirement

  • Before any website update is scheduled, a quote will be sent to the Client.

  • The Client must accept the quote before the update begins.

  • The quote is valid for 7 days from the date it is issued.

  • If the requested update falls within the included updates of the monthly subscription, the Client will be notified that the update is included, and no separate quote will be generated.

  • Please note: A quote will only be issued after this Agreement has been signed by the Client.

2. Service Costs and Inclusions

2.1 Content Update Costs

  • Simple content updates (text or image edits) are included in the monthly subscription, up to 1 hour per month.

  • Once the included hour is used, the Client will be notified before any additional charges are applied.

  • Any new page creation required for the website will be billed at R1200 per page, including content population and basic SEO setup.

2.2 What’s Not Included in the Monthly Fee
The monthly subscription covers hosting, security, and technical maintenance, but does not include:

  • Uploading products or blog posts

  • Running ads on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or Google

  • Social media setup or management

  • Store or order management

  • Content uploads beyond the included setup

  • Advanced SEO services

2.3 Website Update Pricing Beyond the Scope
For website updates and modifications beyond the scope of the Monthly R380 Subscription Plan:

  • Rebranding: R2500, including logo updates, color scheme adjustments, and overall visual refresh

  • New Page Creation: R1200 per page, including content population and basic SEO optimization

  • Pop-ups: Two free pop-ups per month, then R50 each

  • Major Website Changes: Quoted individually based on complexity and scope

For any service not listed, LegitDev will provide a personalized estimate before work begins.

3. Purpose

The purpose of this Agreement is to confirm that the Client understands how updates to the website’s content, structure, or SEO elements may impact the website’s visibility in Google Search results.

4. Acknowledgment of SEO Impact

The Client acknowledges and agrees that:

  • Any modification to website text, structure, metadata, images, or links can affect the website’s performance in Google and other search engines

  • These effects may be positive or negative and are determined solely by search engine algorithms

  • LegitDev cannot guarantee specific rankings, indexing speed, or traffic levels after content changes

  • LegitDev will not be held responsible for any ranking or visibility fluctuations following Client-requested updates

5. Google Indexing Process

After LegitDev completes requested updates, a reindexing request will be submitted to Google Search Console (when applicable).
The Client understands that:

  • Google controls its own crawling and indexing schedule

  • Updates may appear in search results within several days to a few weeks, but no specific timeframe or outcome can be guaranteed

  • LegitDev has no control over when or how Google applies these updates to search rankings

6. Google Business Profile (GMB) Clarification

The Client understands that:

  • A Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) and a website’s organic search ranking are managed independently

  • Changes to one do not directly affect the other

  • Each requires its own optimization strategy for best performance

7. SEO Best Practices and Recommendations

  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is essential for improving website visibility and ranking for relevant search terms

  • Main target keywords should be naturally included in the website’s written content, headings, and metadata

  • LegitDev highly recommends that all website content be written or reviewed by a professional SEO copywriter

  • Publishing regular blog posts or articles is an effective way to rank for specific keywords

    • Each article should focus on one primary keyword with related subtopics

    • This strategy builds topical authority and improves overall search visibility

8. Acceptance

By signing below, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms outlined in this Agreement. The Client acknowledges that this Agreement is legally binding.
